Dr. Terry, a North Carolina native, is a Professor of Emergency Medicine and Health Policy at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and the Milken Institute School of Public Health, where she cares for patients, teaches, and conducts research. She has served as president of both the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Emergency Medicine Residents' Association. In 2006 she founded the Minority Women in Science Foundation, a nonprofit that inspires, mentors, and empowers young talent, and she serves as its chief executive officer. Dr. Terry is a recognized public speaker, published author, and advocate for access to quality health care.
